"Gentle & Lowly" Summer Book Club

In Matthew 11, Jesus describes himself as “gentle and lowly in heart,” longing for his people to find rest in him. Gentle & Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers, by Dane Ortlund, reflects on the words of Jesus, diving deep into Bible passages that speak of Christ's affections for sinners and encouraging believers as they journey, weary and faltering, toward heaven. This is one of the most encouraging books I've (Pastor Mike) ever read, and I want to invite you into a summer study as we walk through it together beginning Wednesday, June 1 @ 6pm. In fact, I'm so excited about the opportunity to read and benefit from it as a church that we secured enough free copies for everyone at MountainView. We'll be handing these out on Sunday, May 22, so be sure to grab one, and join us on the journey this summer.
